- DOCK
- BE SAFE AROUND THE WATER! NO DIVING! Wear lifejackets! The dock is on a public lake managed by the army corps of engineers. At the elevation of 1071', the lake is at "full pool". There is about 6' of water under the dock at this lake elevation. My family and I swim in Lake Lanier often with the neighboring families. We do not recommend swimming after a rain when the lake may have a muddy color, with a lot of sediment as the bacteria from the runoff can be higher (its the same with any body of water).

Georgia Law Requires ALL motor boat operators to have an approved boater safety class. You may take the 4-5 hour class for free! Here is a link to a free online course for you, through Boat US.
-
FYI- If using a boat boat, MAKE SURE TO FUEL UP BEFORE THE GAS PUMPS CLOSE! There are no 24 hour gas pumps on the water, getting home may require calling the Tow Boat US service and that's expensive.
-
The Corps of Engineers controls the permitting of the docks and all of the land around the lake, on Lake Lanier.
-
There are no more dock permits available on the lake. The size of the dock is governed by the Corps of engineers and we have the maximum size available for our lot. The dock is able to hold two moored boats, one on either side. The side closest to the body of the lake, being the deepest.
-
On the dock there is an iron table and a two iron chairs.
-
PLEASE do not use the white bath towels at the dock or in the lake water, as the lake stains them. There are beach towels, for your use at the waterfront.
-
We keep all life jackets and floats in the flex/laundry room downstairs. There are only a few (6 nice adult ones + 6 USCG Approved not nice ones, NO CHILDRES LIFE JACKETS PROVIDED DUE TO THE RANGE OF SIZES), that our family uses, so you are encouraged to bring others if you have a big group.
-
There is a two person sit on to kayak and a stand up paddleboard by the dock too. The paddles are on the pontoon boat with the required life jackets stored in the laundry room downstairs. The DNR who manages the lake will ticket you if you do not have life jackets with you. Please keep the paddles and life jackets in the flex room so they are not "borrowed" by other boaters going by the dock.
-
There are red and green solar lights mounted on the corners of the dock. This is for you to know which dock is ours if you happen to be arriving, by boat, at night.

Thermostats
- The Ecobee Thermostats are easy to set during your stay. Here is a little video if you want a quick lesson before you arrive! We have Ecobee room sensors in every room of the house. Please do not remove them from the wall as they are only room sensors for the thermostats.
- APPLE TV
- PLEASE DO NOT DISCONNECT HDMI CABLES FROM TV'S! There is an extra attached HDMI cable in the living room if you are wanting to attach a computer or gaming console!
- We have apple TV to control our streaming media, televisions and TV audio. DIRECTV Stream is our "cable channel" app. Its pretty intuitive, but here is a video for you just in case:
